Kumbaya App Partners with AU10TIX to Bolster App Safety for Parents and Teens
Solution Strengthens Automated ID Authentication and Onboarding Measures for a Secure and User-Friendly Experience
Mountain View, CA – August 17, 2020 – The Kumbaya App, a marketplace for parents to hire trusted teens for paid gigs, today announced its partnership with AU10TIX, global ID verification and authentication platform trusted by Google, PayPal and more. The app onboarding process will now include automated verification powered by AU10TIX’s Secure. Me solution with Smart Document Capture to ensure safety for Kumbaya App parents and teen gigsters. Additionally, as part of the platform’s safety measures already in place, the Kumbaya App only uses the parent of the teen’s contact book and social networks to connect the gigster with parents in need of care services.
“As the Kumbaya App connects parents with adolescents, safety is paramount,” said Chen Levanon, the Kumbaya App’s CEO, and co-founder. “By partnering with AU10TIX, we are able to verify that our community of app users are who they say they are, while also keeping the onboarding process simple and speedy.”
“As a parent, I feel a commitment to help create trusted ecosystems for children to explore their entrepreneurial ambitions in a safe space,” added Carey O’Connor Kolaja, AU10TIX’s president and COO. “With our roots in airport security and border control solutions, AU10TIX can harness decades of experience in identity verification to ensure safety for all Kumbaya App users. We are honored to partner with the app to protect teens, parents, and children with an extra layer of security.”
When the Kumbaya App is downloaded, parents are prompted to create an account and enter their date of birth, phone number, and one valid ID, which the AU10TIX server verifies in a few seconds. As the last step, parents are asked to submit a selfie to confirm face-to-face identity matches. Once the results return as positive, parents are approved to join the Kumbaya App community, whether they are looking to promote their teens for paid gig work or seek help from trusted teens in their networks.
“The Kumbaya App is all about building trust and community within an inclusive, safe, and easy-to-use platform,” said Dr. Adi Zief-Balteriski, the Kumbaya App’s chief behavioral officer and co-founder. “We are thrilled to offer our users the most secure and seamless onboarding process through AU10TIX’s solution.”
